What the profile update covers
VA says a profile address change updates VA health care communications, disability compensation, pension, education benefits, claims and appeals, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. This is separate from USPS mail forwarding and from address records held by other federal or state agencies.
Steps
- Open VA’s official address-change page and sign in with a verified Login.gov or ID.me account.
- Open your VA.gov profile and select the contact-information section.
- Edit the mailing address or home address that needs to change.
- Review the entry, save it, and confirm the profile shows the new information.
- Check VA’s exclusions and contact each separate program you use.
