Does one VA direct-deposit change cover every payment?

No. VA uses separate records for some benefits, reimbursements, refunds, and family-member payments.

Direct answer

In a verified VA.gov profile, select and confirm the direct-deposit information for each applicable benefit type: disability compensation, pension, and education. Do not assume that this also changes travel pay, health-care copay refunds, or certain family-member payments.

Why the answer changes by payment

VA’s main profile tool manages three listed benefit-payment types. The agency gives separate instructions for travel reimbursement and copay refunds, while some family-member health benefit payments use the Financial Services Center. International direct deposit also has a separate contact route.

What to check after a change

Review each applicable benefit section in the VA.gov profile and save the confirmation. Use the official instructions for any other payment you receive, then review payment history. If a payment does not arrive as expected, contact VA through its official page rather than sharing bank information with an intermediary.
